These are the reasons why it has been the destination of pilgrims and travellers from all over the world hoping to capture some of its essence. But Italy is also a more subtle destination: the most famous monuments are visited by millions of people every year and leaving the most popular tourist routes is often difficult. Venice, the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Duomo of Milan (to name a few) are without doubt beautiful and unique but we want to confess something… the reason we Italians love our land so much is to be sought elsewhere…

We want to take you to places that have fascinated and intrigued us, to show you the landscapes that have left us speechless, to dine in our favourite restaurants, to talk with local people, to breathe the scents of our woods and to visit all those places you would otherwise not get to without us. From these thoughts and from the desire to show you the side of Italy that we love the most, WalkAround was born.

We take you walking, to give ourselves the time to observe, to reflect and to learn. We stay away from the major tourist circuits to avoid feeding mass tourism in favour of supporting local economies. We travel in small groups, to remain non-invasive, to have the time to get to know each other and to guarantee that everyone has the best possible experience.
